Huge congratulations to Josh Campbell and David Almeida who both started with us in March and have both now successfully completed their probation - well done!
David came to CaterPeople following a very successful career in Rosette and Michelin star restaurants, as a Chef de Rang, Restaurant manager and Sommelier. At CaterPeople David works on front of house recruitment and has used his industry knowledge and experience to great effect finding perfect new roles for candidates from entry level to GM in restaurants and hotels throughout the South West.
"The best thing about working here for me has been the team, the welcome and the constant support I've had from my managers." says David, "The biggest challenge has been making the change from a hospitality role to recruitment. I've had to adapt from communicating mainly face to face, to working much more over the phone and via Skype and email, as well as doing lots of desk research, it's been a big change for me."
Josh worked for 9 years as a chef before coming to CaterPeople. He now uses his own experience in professional fine dining kitchens to find great new opportunities for passionate chefs from commis to head chef level.
"The highlight of my time here so far has been placing my first sous chef at a really cool new fine dining venue in Cheltenham." says Josh "The biggest challenge has been making the move from the gruelling hours of a chefs life to the very different challenges of an office job, and knowing what to wear to work every day, now its not chef whites and kitchen crocs!"
With David and Josh now through probation and providing a great service to our clients and candidates we'll soon be looking for 2 new recruits to join the team.
