This would be an ideal opportunity for an experienced sous chef from a good fresh food kitchen to step up into their first head chef role.

This small gastro-pub is situated in west Gloucestershire in a beautiful but not remote part of the countryside.

The pub is privately owned and managed and all ingredients and sourced locally.

The menu consists of pub classics and a regularly changing short menu of more sophisticated dishes. Everything is cooked from fresh.

It's a small but very well equipped kitchen and you will be managing a small team to deliver between 10 covers on a quiet weekday lunch, 40 on a Friday/Saturday evening and up to 60 for traditional Sunday lunch.

The owner/manager is an experienced hospitality professional who knows his market and will offer strong support. He will also expect to work closely with you on menu development and has a clear idea of where he wants the food offering to go and what the market is looking for.

This job offers the opportunity to succeed in your first head chef role in a small, quality fresh food kitchen with the support of an experienced general manager.
