Pastry Sous Chef - 1 Michelin star country house hotel - £30k - Wiltshire
We are looking for a talented Pastry Chef who is capable of managing a busy pastry section and working alongside a strong Head Pastry Chef to produce excellent plated desserts, fresh bread, and stylish afternoon teas.
This role is in one of the South West’s best kitchens within a stunning country house hotel. You will be working with an exciting and talented Head Chef, who has retained this restaurant’s Michelin star and is producing some stunning, modern dishes with precision and quality.
As Pastry Sous Chef, you will work in a small team of 3 Pastry Chefs, 5 days a week with consecutive days off.
This is an opportunity to work for a well respected hotel group, that offers plenty of opportunities to grow both as a chef and a person.
Salary on offer is up to £30k basic, with tips included AND paid overtime. Staff accommodation is available for up to 6 months. The hotel is located within a commutable distance to Bristol, Bath and Chippenham; so there are plenty of long-term accommodation options available.
The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background - Michelin experience (or equivalent) is a must, and you will be competent and confident in all aspects of pastry production. Pastry Chef de Parties looking for their next step up will be considered.
