We have an opportunity for a chef to join traditional river cruise boat sailing the river Severn from Gloucester from Easter to the end of October.

This is a stand alone role where you will be cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner for up to 22 guests and 5 crew daily.  

Meals are served banquet style and are focussed on traditional British classics, to suit a fairly mature clientele.

You will be working the kitchen solo, with the support of 2 stewards who will assist with plating, service and prep where needed.  So you need to be self motivated and pro-active.  

As well as a proven ability to produce high quality, classic English food you will need to be an efficient, clean and tidy kitchen manager, able to work effectively in the limited space available on board.  You should have a good grasp of food hygiene and allergens.

Equally important, you need to be a team player and a people person  - you will be living and working at close quarters with guests and crew throughout the summer.

In this role you will be working 5 days one week, 6 the next throughout the season. The working week will be c50 hours.  Pay is £500 to £550 per week depending on experience and can expect tips of around £75 per week.
